Malcom Gladwell and Outliers
Great interview with Malcom Gladwell discussing Outliers. This is really a great book, and I highly suggest it.

Please post the the website that you found in the comments section of this post. In the comment please include anything you liked about the site, and how it can be useful (if possible) in the classroom. Looking forward to seeing what you have found.
The site I am going to share is called VoiceThread It is a site that allows students/teachers to create little “threads” which others can contribute to or comment on. Very useful site because it allows each students voice be heard and their creativity be seen. These “threads” can be use for any grade level, any subject.

Thanks for all of your hard week this week. I just wanted to put all of the information about your assignments here on the blog.
Standards Based Project
1. Create a new PAGE for this project.
2. Include: Content Standards, NETS, and Directions for the students.
3. Include at least two links to other sites. These can include blogs, games, etc.
4. Also include one document for the students to complete. This can be an assessment, activity, support material, anything that ties with you activity.
Introduction Podcast
You need to create a short introduction podcast. (This can just be an audio version of you introduction podcast.)
You need to include at least one music file (intro, background or exit music) and one sound effect.
Below are two websites that I shared in class. As with any music file, it is your responsibility to be aware of the copyright for the material you are using - give credit where credit is deserved.
Do not worry about hosting/uploading these files yet, we will go over that in class next week.
Below are other links for items we discuessed in class.
Flip video camera - great for easy recording and editing for web quality video.
Twitter - Social website
Del.icio.us - Social Bookmarking site.
Atomic Learning - Video tutorials on the software programs you will be using in the program.
I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th. See you next week.
