Case Study Topics

In the comments section please post your case study topic idea. Here is the information from the syllabus about the case study presentation – which is due the final class.

Please select a technology (historical/current/emerging) that was not discussed in class. Your case study will include a written component and a visual component covering the following areas:
1. Implications in the classroom environment.
2. Evolution of the technology.

The final night you will present you finding to the class. Your presentation should focus on the technology you chose to research, addressing each of the focus points listed about. Your presentation should be in the form of a video podcast. Presentations should be no more than 1o minutes in length.

Audacity mp3 Encoder

To be able to save your Audacity projects as a mp3 you need to download this audio encoder. Once you download it you will need to exctract it into a safe location. I usually save it into my Audacity folder.

Once you have it installed go to File>Save As mp3 and it will allow you to save the file as an mp3 file.

Give it a try and let me know if you need help.

Feed Aggragators

In class I mentioned to everybody something about feed aggregators (a program/website to collect your websites subscription feeds.) I said that I would post a link and some recommendations here. After doing a little research I am going to stick by the one that I mentioned in class – iGoogle.

If you are interested in finding a different one, here is a link to a list of different aggregators – both web-based and stand alone programs. Please feel free to choose the one that you think would work best for you.

I will show you how to import your feeds and set up the programs/website in class.
