I just wanted to go over a couple of things from tonight’s class.
Here is the summary of what is expected for each assignment.
Blog:
1. 7 blog posts
2. Links to 3 other websites – These do not include the links in your posts, they should be added under the “write > link” section of you blog.
3. 1 Audio podcast
4. 1 video podcast
5. 1 other page besides your main page. This could include an “About Me” page, or an activity page, etc.
Podcast:
An introduction podcast which includes:
1. Music – Here are 2 sites to get music. Site #1 and Site #2
2. At least one sound effect – Site #1
Video Podcast:
1. Jing screen capture video about writing a post.
2. Upload the video to screencast.com (this is free for Jing users) Just click the upload option in Jing. If you get stuck look at the Jing FAQs
3. Email me the link for you capture.
Final Project:
Combination of everything
1. A standards based blog post which includes:
a. Content standards and ISTE/NETS
b. 3 links in you post linking to different websites
c. 1 video podcast (embedded)

I hope that this helps. Please remember that if you get stuck or have a question EMAIL ME!! Do not worry about bothering me, it is why I am here.

Thanks for all of your hard week this week. I just wanted to put all of the information about your assignments here on the blog.
Standards Based Project
1. Create a new PAGE for this project.
2. Include: Content Standards, NETS, and Directions for the students.
3. Include at least two links to other sites. These can include blogs, games, etc.
4. Also include one document for the students to complete. This can be an assessment, activity, support material, anything that ties with you activity.
Introduction Podcast
You need to create a short introduction podcast. (This can just be an audio version of you introduction podcast.)
You need to include at least one music file (intro, background or exit music) and one sound effect.
Below are two websites that I shared in class. As with any music file, it is your responsibility to be aware of the copyright for the material you are using – give credit where credit is deserved.
Do not worry about hosting/uploading these files yet, we will go over that in class next week.
Below are other links for items we discuessed in class.
Flip video camera – great for easy recording and editing for web quality video.
Twitter – Social website
Del.icio.us – Social Bookmarking site.
Atomic Learning – Video tutorials on the software programs you will be using in the program.
I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th. See you next week.
Lance
