This is the first time I have ever looked at blogs. I found this one through google. It is about the oil spill in the gulf of Mexico and how the chemicals used to clean it may affect the ocean and us. Here is the address: http://dendroica.blogspot.com/2010/07/chemical-changes-and-environment-in.html

This is a link to lesson plans/resources from the NYT for teaching To Kill A Mockingbird. Their “Learning Network” often has good stuff.

One of my favorite things to do on the internet is troll. This is a blog by the world famous David Thorne, one of the most well known and celebrated troll. He is hilarious. This is his website, but it ran like a blog. He updates his current trollings and shares his thoughts on various issues in a comedic fashion. Worth a look.

This blog is about the world’s oldest person. Supposedly she is 157, but there is no evidence to support that. However, her daughter is still alive and proven to be 108. I liked this blog because it talked about her lifestyle. I am always interested to learn how people live to be so old. http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2010/06/indonesian-census-discovers-a-157yearold-woman.html

This blog is hosted by a teacher of many years and faces the realities and rewards of the profession. His May 11th entry speaks to the need for technology and change in our teaching styles, in keeping with what we are learning to address in this, and other, classes @APU.

I studied architectural history during my undergrad at UCSC and I love reading and learning about it. I just found this awesome blog called “A Daily Dose of Architecture”. Its a bit overwhelming at first there are so many great links and so much information. But some of the pictures are amazing!

Here is another blog I found on art. When I found it the post from today (July, 19, 2010) “Social Justice Through Photography” got me thinking about applications in the classroom. There are so many great artists out there commenting on our society with their work, and it can be used in our classrooms to teach about a myriad of subjects/ topics.

I was not sure where to post my faith integration assignment. So I am posting it as part of the blog share because the website includes a blog. I found that Harvest Ministries with Greg Laurie reaches out to the community through the internet. Greg has set up a website and a blog. Website provides an overview of the church, the statement of faith, and provides an introduction to the faith under the “Know God” tab. You can also donate or purchase the books he has written. Also, the schedule of upcoming events and church locations is provided. Finally, there is a blog. His blog is more personal but he always integrates scripture.
Harvest really provides the community with a view into the church and what it stands for. The statement of faith tells onlookers what principles the church is founded upon. If you want information on where you can attend service and what to expect at a service all you have to do is take a look at the website. Greg has done an excellent job of presenting Harvest to the global community.
Here is the website. http://www.harvest.org/
